Terms of service
Last updated 6 October 2026
- JobCracker gives AI-generated guidance. Check what matters before you rely on it.
- Your resume and data stay yours. You let us process them only to run the service.
- Pro renews automatically until you cancel. Cancelling keeps Pro until the paid period ends.
- Don't abuse the service or try to get around its limits.
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and JobCracker (“we”, “us”) for using the JobCracker Chrome extension, the services behind it and this website (together, “JobCracker”). By creating an account or using JobCracker, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
2. What JobCracker does
JobCracker reads a job posting when you ask it to and uses AI to summarize the job, flag stale or closed listings, compare the posting with your resume, and suggest what to emphasize. It also lets you track jobs you've applied to.
Results are generated by AI and can be incomplete or wrong. They're guidance, not career, legal or immigration advice, and we don't guarantee any job application outcome. Check anything important, such as requirements, deadlines and work permits, against the posting and the employer.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 to use JobCracker.
- Use an email address you control. Your account is for you alone; don't share it.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has accessed it.
4. Your content
Your resume, notes and the other information you add stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them, including sending them to our AI provider, only as needed to run JobCracker for you. You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload.
5. Acceptable use
Don't:
- use JobCracker for anything unlawful, or to harass, deceive or harm anyone;
- automate requests, scrape our services, or resell or redistribute JobCracker or its results as a service;
- get around usage limits, for example by creating multiple accounts to reuse the free allowance;
- probe, overload or interfere with our systems, or reverse-engineer our server-side services;
- upload content that isn't yours to share, or that contains malware.
You're responsible for following the terms of the job sites you use JobCracker on.
6. Plans and payment
Free
A free account includes 5 analyses in total. They don't renew.
Pro
- Pro is a subscription billed monthly, every 3 months or yearly, at the price shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Every Pro plan includes 300 analyses per month, resetting each month on the date you subscribed. Unused analyses don't roll over.
- A successful analysis uses one from your allowance, whether or not the page turns out to be a job posting. Reopening a saved result and failed attempts don't.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel any time from Profile in the extension. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, we don't refund partial periods.
If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you can withdraw from your first Pro purchase within 14 days by emailing [email protected]. Because Pro starts straight away at your request, we'll refund your payment minus a proportionate amount for the time you already had Pro.
Price changes
If we change the price of your plan, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal. You can cancel before then if you don't want to continue.
7. Changes and availability
We're always improving JobCracker, so features may change. We aim to keep it running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you paid for, you can cancel and we'll refund the unused part of your current period.
8. Our property
JobCracker's software, design, name and mascot belong to us. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use JobCracker for your own job search, and no other rights. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
9. Other websites
Job postings belong to the sites and employers that publish them. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their accuracy or availability.
10. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, JobCracker is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including that results will be accurate or fit a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms affects rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost opportunities or earnings, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We don't exclude liability where the law doesn't let us, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
12. Ending
You can stop using JobCracker any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; where reasonable, we'll warn you first. Sections 4 and 8 to 11 continue after your account ends.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the extension or by email before they take effect. If you keep using JobCracker afterwards, the new terms apply.
14. Contact
